The Mirror Guy

You’ve seen this guy!  He loves himself!  Some of these guys try to make it look like they’re not staring at themselves in the mirror by fixing their hair or popping a zit, but we know what they’re up to.  Do ya really need to see if there is something in your teeth 15 times during your work out?  Need a toothpick?  Some guys aren’t as sneaky.  The funny thing is that the guys who aren’t sneaky about it usually have very average builds.  A guy that I see at one of the gyms I train at always has his sleeves pulled up over his shoulders and breaths very loud on every rep, so people will look at him.  He uses very light weight, so it’s not like he’s trying that hard.  Yeah, people are looking at you buddy, but they’re laughing at you on the inside.

The Grunter vs Mr. Stinky

The Grunter vs. Mr. Stinky
What’s worse at the gym?  The loud obnoxious grunter guy or the stinky guy.  Hard to say.  If I’m with a client I think I’d rather stay clear of the grunter.  Maybe.  The grunter just makes me mad, but the stinky guy makes me want to hurl.  Ya see I have this gift of being able to plug my nose without using my hands.  It comes in pretty handy when I’m around Mr. Stinky.  Jeez, I wouldn’t want to offend him by standing beside him pinching my nose while I count my client’s reps!  That would be hilarious!  He’d look at me like, “What?”  LOL!  Can’t these people smell themselves?

Mr. Ego

The Male Ego

Ya know what I hate the most in this industry? The male ego! A little ironic since I am a male, and I have an ego, but that’s ok. Of course, I don’t have an “ego problem” right? Ok, maybe sometimes, but my point is that I can’t stand the male trainers that have this issue with thinking that they’re the only worthy trainer in the world. They act like they have a bunch of secret training techniques or something. Here’s a little secret. There aren’t any!!! One day they’ll figure out that it really doesn’t matter what training techniques you use with clients, as long as they continue to train with you. The best trainers have the most clients! Duh!
